Before you get a foot in the door

Sales people are usually well used to the rejections used by staffers to get rid of them. Recruitment agencies are of course 'sales' agents for labour in the form of job candidates, that's regardless of whether they are 'head-hunters' or job fillers. News that the UK's unemployment figures have jumped 60,000 last month should at long last convince all concerned that it is not just their imagination but there really is a poor economy and there are very restricted openings or new job opportunities. Present and future job seekers will just have to inure themselves against the rejections, or 'objections' they will face. My advice? Remember not to take it personally...
