Old boy network

Well, how long has it taken? Apparently, according to this trend report employee referral programmes are the best way of getting good candidates into vacancies. This, if you haven't already realised, is a version of the old boy network that never really went away despite reams of anti-discrimination and other employment legislation. The process is also very questionable if the positions are in any way sensitive. However, like all 'schemes', these can also be perverted, like this example below:
