Couldn't resist mentioning this post, given that the name 'barnacle' tickles La Lobster's antennae. Whilst I like a bargain myself, I do get a little chuffed off when I get stuck behind the expensively dressed woman with a cart load of 'reduced price' products at the (local, therefore small) supermarket checkout. I do it every time. Forget that, at certain times, the local supermarket starts marking some of its perishable goods at a discount before the tills' computer has synchronised with the new prices. It causes no end of delay when madam bargain hunter has nothing other than reduced priced items to pay for and there's only one till for trolleys open.
Do lobsters eat barnacles?
