Watch out retail sales people

I certainly hope that UK retailers don't adopt the approach of some US retailers like Ann Taylor who have installed computer programmes to schedule their staff according to the income they generate. What could be worse for staff and customers? Staff will soon realise they are being abused, and productivity will inevitably reduce across the board. Customers on the other hand will soon learn that the staff at certain retailers are more aggressive in getting a sale. Sounds like a lose-lose system to me and one that will cause untold pain in the meantime.
