Clash of the titans

From a distance, I've been watching Google's attempts at creating a 'content bank' from published but out of print material. I still have mixed feelings about it. Sure, some material is available to us again long after we thought it had been lost forever. I'm not sure I can condone an organisation assuming ownership of others' works - even if they do aim to compensate the 'authors'. Tricky. Seems like Google isn't going to have an easy ride after all.
