That's not funny

The Daily Telegraph reported on a Leeds University study recently showing how heavy Internet users were more depressed than your average Joe. The research uncovered high levels of depression in the younger people addicted to Internet usage. I guess we shouldn't really be surprised. Young people are often overwhelmed, undervalued and denied opportunities; that's enough to make anyone feel despondent. Was it an accident that the same newspaper reported on a study from University College London, that boredom really does contribute to an early death. Perhaps our young people are being kept alive, if not very happily, courtesy of the Internet?
