The US has flu

You've heard the expression, "America sneezes the UK catches a cold." Well, I've been saying for some time that the 'unemployment', 'underemployment' or 'economically inactive' situation in the UK is getting v.big and problematic. Here's a report about the same sort of thing in the US - that means even bigger trouble for us in the UK, (as far as I am aware 1 in 4 people in the UK of working age are 'economically inactive' & there are queues of people desperate to get here from worse off places in the world - not surprising as almost 4 million of the 29 million jobs are held by non-uk born people). That's not a jolly situation is it?
