The world welcomes the new POTUS

Today's the day Mr Obama becomes the first black president of the United States of America, two centuries after the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was responsible for freeing the black slaves in the confederate south by the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863. Lincoln was not liked for his stance but, there was never a reversal, (in fact, the law was strengthened and became the 13th Amendment abolishing all involuntary servitude.) Obama is by all accounts a popular choice and has an awful lot hanging on his performance. That's a tough role he's taking on. Will he satisfy these young pretenders to his throne?
(By the way, you might like to know that the Inaugural Luncheon kicks off with Lobster Stew - followed by a bit of pheasant and duck with cherry chutney, finishing with a spicy apple sponge. I can supply the recipes if you really want them.)
